Crime update

As you are aware, Sunninghill Communities Kerry Mawson resigned recently and left us on Friday last weekto pursue a new venture.    We thank all those who enquired about the vacancy this created.  We received an overwhelming response to this job opening from a number of well qualified applicants and are happy to announce that we have appointed a new General Manager for Sunninghill Community who we feel will add considerable value to the Ratepayer side of Sunninghill Community.  Rob Kimmings has been a resident of Sunninghill for many years, comes with great management and people skills and has some exciting ideas for our suburb.  Rob will be spending some time with Kerry to get a feel for the job before officially taking over on the 1st of July.  Please bear with us during this transition time and join us in welcoming Rob to our team.

The Sunninghill on foot criminal is back at work.  He is targeting complexes in Sunninghill Park mostly in Tana, Naivasha and Nanyuki Roads.  This criminal likes to visit his victims between 04h00 and 05h30.  Please do NOT leave your doors and windows open and / or unlocked and keep easy to carry items such as ipads; cellphones and laptops out of sight.  If you hear dogs barking or any other suspicious sounds, please call the Savika control room immediately on 0861 728 452 or press your Suncomm Panic.

The number of armed robberies where victims are followed from the bank is rather high in Sandton at present.  We urge our community to PLEASE NOT DRAW large volumes of cash from the banks.  If you need to pay wages in cash, contact your bank there are other ways of doing this.  Please also be alert to vehicles behind you and DO NOT WEAR EXPENSIVE WATCHES AND JEWELLERY.  There are spotters at shopping centres and banks looking for victims.  Again if you feel you are being followed, do not hesitate but contact Savika or press your Suncomm Panic.

Most of you would have heard of the tragic shooting outside Rivonia Primary school recently.  The victim who was fatally wounded had drawn money from the bank.  We would like to thank all our members who support Sunninghill Community, due to your support we have a number of CCTV cameras dotted around our suburb and these criminals decided to exit Rivonia via Sunninghill.  We do hope the footage from our cameras given to the Sandton Saps will assist them in arresting and putting these criminals behind bars for the remainder of their lives.
